Rockpaper Runway
MCP Server

Connect any AI assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol to ROCKPAPER RUNWAY. Browse our services, get answers about scope and process, and send a project enquiry without leaving the conversation.

Overview

The Rockpaper Runway MCP server gives AI assistants live, read-only access to our service catalogue and published documents, plus one action: sending an enquiry to our team when the user asks for it.

  • Live data. Answers come from our current catalogue and documents, so the assistant does not need to guess what we offer.
  • Grounded. Assistants are instructed to only describe services and policies the tools return.
  • User in control. Nothing is sent to our team until the user reviews and submits the enquiry form.
02

Quick start

Add this URL to your MCP client as a remote server. No account or API key is needed.

The public server URL is shared on request while the connector is in review. Email contact@rockpaperrunway.com and we will send it to you.

Then ask your assistant something like “What services does Rockpaper Runway offer?”.

03

Connect your client

Menu names change between client versions; if a step does not match, look for “Connectors”, “Integrations” or “MCP servers” in settings.

Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose “Add custom connector”.
  3. Name it “Rockpaper Runway” and paste the server URL.
  4. Enable the connector in a chat from the tools menu.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http rockpaper-runway <MCP_SERVER_URL>

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors (developer mode must be on for custom connectors).
  2. Create a connector and paste the server URL.
  3. Pick it from the tools menu in a chat.

Custom connectors depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

Any other MCP client

  1. Add a remote server that uses the Streamable HTTP transport.
  2. Paste the server URL. No API key or sign-in is required.

To explore the tools without an AI client, run the MCP Inspector:

Example prompts

  • “What services does Rockpaper Runway offer?”
  • “We need a new website and paid ads for a product launch. Which services fit?”
  • “Tell me more about the Agentic AI service.”
  • “How does a project with Rockpaper Runway usually start?”
  • “I’d like a quote for app development. Can you send my details to their team?”
06

Data & privacy

  • What we receive. Search queries and questions sent to the tools, and, only when the user submits the enquiry form, their name, work email and the service they are interested in.
  • What we do not receive. Your wider conversation, files or other connected accounts. Your AI client decides what it sends to each tool call.
  • How enquiries are used. Only to reply to the enquiry. We do not sell personal data.
  • Full policy. See our Privacy Policy. To access or delete enquiry data, email contact@rockpaperrunway.com.
07

Behaviour & limits

  • The catalogue covers our five core services: Growth Marketing, Web Development, Branding, App Development and Agentic AI.
  • The catalogue does not list fixed prices. Scope and quotes are agreed with our team after an enquiry.
  • Service ids are stable; service names are not accepted as ids.
  • Results are capped at 25 per search.
08

Troubleshooting

The client cannot connect
Check that the URL is copied exactly, uses https, and that your client supports remote (Streamable HTTP) servers.
The tools do not appear
Make sure the connector is enabled for the current chat or workspace, then start a new conversation.
A service or value is “not found”
Call get_catalog_coverage to see the accepted values. Service ids come from search_services; names are not accepted as ids.
The enquiry form does not display
Some clients cannot show forms. The assistant can collect the answers in the chat and send them with submit_enquiry_form.
